Dr Ashley Miller

Ashley Miller is a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals. His specialist interests are fluid management and ultrasound. He is an elected Intensive Care Society council member and co-chairs the ICS Focused Ultrasound in Intensive Care (FUSIC) committee. A keen contributor to FOAMed, you can find his educational material on the UK’s largest critical care educational website www.criticalcarenorthampton.com where he is a co-editor, his youtube channel and Twitter. @icmteaching

Dr Marcus Peck

Marcus Peck is a consultant in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine at Frimley Park Hospital (Surrey, UK), chair of the Intensive Care Society (ICS)’s Focused Ultrasound for Intensive Care (FUSIC) committee, and author of the OUP textbook 'Focused Intensive Care Ultrasound'. He is a passionate ultrasound trainer and teaches widely. Marcus sits on several national committees, including the ICS Council and British Society of Echocardiography’s Professional Standards Committee, delivering UK ultrasound training and quality assurance. He relishes breaking down organisational barriers, and dreams of the day when bedside ultrasound is normal practice for all frontline clinicians. Twitter @ICUltrasonica

Dr Segun Olusanya

Segun is quite possibly the UK’s longest serving Intensive Care trainee, and currently works at University College Hospital, London. A University of Southampton graduate, he has spent his many years as a registrar in the Thames Valley and London regions. His clinical interests are social media, medical education, point of care ultrasound, and wellbeing in medicine. He’s been privileged to explore these interests by being part of the UK Focused Ultrasound in Intensive Care Committee, an associate editor of the Journal of the Intensive Care Society, an ICS Digital Committee member, an editor for the POCUS Journal, a founding member of the Tea and Empathy Facebook group, and a co-opted member of the Editorial and Publishing committee for the ESICM.

Dr Luna Gargani

Luna Gargani works at the university of Pisa as a cardiologist and clinical researcher in the field of cardiovascular imaging and point-of-care ultrasound.

She is a recognized expert and a pioneer in lung ultrasound. She is a member of the International Liaison Committee that wrote the first International evidence-based recommendations for point-of-care lung ultrasound.

Her experience in lung ultrasound ranges from patients with heart failure and dialysis to rheumatic and pulmonary disease. She has been involved with the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging since 2010, and is currently the Echo deputy Chair of the Certification and Accreditation Committee. @LunaGargani

Dr Antonio Rubino

Dr Antonio Rubino completed his training in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care in Italy in March 2012. Subsequently, he moved to the UK in April 2012 and commenced his post of Anaesthetic Senior Clinical Fellow and ECMO fellow at Papworth Hospital. He was appointed as a Locum Consultant in Papworth Hospital in September 2013 and got a substantive post in February 2014. He is also the clinical lead for patient safety.

Dr Rubino is currently working as a Consultant Anaesthetist where he specialises in cardiac and thoracic surgery, heart and lung transplantation, pulmonary thromboendarterectomy and ECMO. He led the first Focused Transoesophageal Echocardiography accreditation programme of the Intensive Care Society. Twitter: AEA_Rubino
